Why is HDPE suitable for the Oil & Gas environment?
Although HDPE is flexible due to its elastic properties, it is incredibly strong yet impact resistant.
HDPE is UV stable, resistant to weather extremes (from -40°C to 80°C), is non-corrosive (unaffected by oxygen, water, salt, chemicals and fuels), and impact resistant
Does not require sealing, painting or anti-fouling (to prevent marine growth). To clean it just use a high-pressure cleaner.
HDPE has a carbon footprint that’s five times less than aluminium. It’s also 100% recyclable.
The many advantages of HDPE fabricated products far outweigh the benefits of a their steel and aluminium equivalents.
